The location in the Chapinero neighborhood is perfect. As others have said, it does feel like you are staying with dear family in their beautiful home. We really enjoyed the opportunity to meet and talk with other guests from all over the world at breakfast. And, let me stress, you still have plenty of privacy with your own room. The kindness, attention and service level of every single person on the staff is next level. We could've sworn every single person was the owner with the amount of care and hard work they put in. PRO TIP: We almost didn't stay because there is no gym. However, we discovered STARK Smart Gym, just a block or two away. Go online, fill out easy form and you get 3 days free, no questions asked. Super easy to pop over there and they have excellent equipment: Everything. Cardio, machines, free weights. Very clean. Nicer and better option than any hotel gym.

Then we met Camila at the property on our return to Bogota en route back to Mexico City and it was like a family reunion. Camila is a Treasure! Casa Legado is an adorable boutique hotel in a quiet, safe area within walking distance to some of the city's best restaurants. The best part, however, is the staff. They go absolutely above and beyond in every way possible. From the warm welcome with lots of great advice, to the full service breakfasts, to even the little details (example: after a long day of hiking in Sumapaz, we came back to find a book about some of Colombia's other mountains in our room with a nice personalized note), it's clear that the level of attention you get is so much more than you can expect from the corporate-owned hotels.

It is not a conventional hotel, but rather a house/home with beautifully appointed common spaces (rooms within the house and outdoor patios) and charming rooms, each with its own character. The staff and owners are so kind and accommodating. Breakfast is fantastic. The location (in the Chapinero neighborhood) is ideal. I can't say enough good things - I hope to return soon!
